This monument - dedicated to the fallen soldiers- is located in the village of Sossano (in the province of Vicenza), next to the Municipality in a central position.The designer was Arrivo Rigoletti who also took part in the plan of the parish Church of San Michele Arcangelo.
It was spring 1921 when they began the construction of the monument that was inaugurated in August. The monument is made of stone, bronze and marble.
The central core of the monument is made up of a stone parallelepiped surmounted by a spire. In the panel of the parallelepiped there are marble tombstones engraved with the names of 27 fallen soldiers and, on the front, the inscription "To glory and perennial memory, Sossano wanted to write here the names of its inhabitants who in the Great War made a holocaust of their life for the freedom of people, the good of the homeland, and the greatness of humanity "
Around the parallelepiped in the lower part, there are 12 dark metal bombs, joined with a chain that delimit the area of respect.
At the base of the monument there are two steps, on which rests an eagle, the coat of arms of the military air force, which holds a lowered flag. On the back you can see a wagon wheel and a stone cannon, and around other bombs.

Questo monumento -dedicato ai caduti -è collocato a Sossano ( in provincia di Vicenza) , a fianco del Comune in posizione centrale.
Il progettista è stato Arrivo Rigoletti che ha preso parte anche al progetto della Chiesa parrocchiale di San Michele Arcangelo.
Nella primavera del 1921 iniziarono i lavori per la costruzione del monumento, inaugurato ad agosto. Il monumento è realizzato in pietra, bronzo e marmo.
Il nucleo centrale del monumento è composto da parallelepipedo in pietra, sormontato da una cuspide. Nelle specchiature del parallelepipedo vi sono lapidi in marmo con incisi i nomi dei 27 caduti e, sul fronte, la dedica “ A gloria e a perenne ricordo, Sossano volle qui scritti i nomi dei suoi figli che nella Grande Guerra fecero olocausto della vita per la libertà dei popoli, bene della patria, e grandezza dell’umanità”.
Intorno al parallelepipedo nella parte bassa, vi sono 12 bombe di metallo scuro, unite con una catena che delimitano l'area di rispetto.
Alla base vi sono due gradoni, sui quali poggia un'aquila, stemma dell’aeronautica militare, che stringe una bandiera ammainata,. Sul retro si notano una ruota di carro e un cannone in pietra, e intorno altre bombe.
