The German Home has started 27 th October 1941, and it lasted during the entirety of the end WW2.
The German Home has been one of the biggest and most monumental examples of the fascistic arhitecture in Croatia, but it 's arhitect is unknown, although it is posible that it was project by Albert Speer himself, one of the most famous Nazi architects.
The German Home was supposed to be work place for the large amount of German population living in Croatia, at that time.
Together with the Home object there were fairly large halls in which many fashion shows, concerts, dances and such were talking place.
Exactly because of that hall this building can be referred to as the first concert hall in Osijek.
At the place where The German Home stood in the past, there's a new building there now. It's called Eurodom. It's a commercial - living space.
